Hello my friends , here is my money, spare and body parts consumer in the next one year !
The car has not been driven at least 2-3 years , and it is dirty from the trip to bulgaria , it smells of oil at the back , the ngine needs some attention , but it works quietly and smoothly , there is i THINK a bit more pressure in the cooling system ( may be gasket) , and the cooling fan is not functioning i can stop it by hand at any time ! The rust is obvious , i think the interior is not so bad , the wheels i wont change !

Interior looks good. I noticed in the photos that the two steel angle pieces are missing from each side of the front fenders. They connect the top sections of the inner and outer fender. The previous owner may have removed them because they tend to rust out.

I looking at your pictures and there seems to be a lot of rust.Are you going to find another body to work on or are you fixing this.I would look under the rocker cover to see what you are in for because I just pulled my off and I thought I had a rust free car and found that I have some patch work to do. If you don't mind me asking how much you payed for this in your Country? Thanks for the photos and can't wait to see your progress. Tim
 
Looks good. I am no expert on how to tackle the rust issue but that seems like the highest priority. After that a 5-speed conversion is also a worthy upgrade. You can keep the wheels but the persian rugs must go :).

The rust is a lot , but under the car does not look so bad , but all will come out after the sand brush !

Dear Tim , i bought it for 6 k USD , but in europe you cant find this car (el.windows , air conditioner , automatic) for less than 15 k USD , in the same or more worse condition ! Beleive me i am looking for this car more than 1 year !

Dear Arde , 5 speed conversion i wont do , i am happy that it is automatic , manual gears are not good for our traffic in our city ! I know that for the USA manual gears are preffered for some cars , but in europe is the oposite ! Aaaaand the carpets will go , all of them !

If you want to make a conversion from 3-speed to 4-speed automatic, its for M30 and runs fine in an E28 525i
 
Here are a few photos. One shows the existing just after I removed it. The other shows the new angles laying a few cm away from where they will be installed (after replacing the rusty fenders).

Okay, if no one else is going to ask... what's the story on the Golf 2002 with Alpina wheels? :)
