Great day for a bunch of uber cool BMWs in Southern California today.

I counted 17 coupes including two 2000cs. All kinds of awesome people including all the usual suspects and one now "long distance visitor", Mike Berger who drove all the way from Pacific Grove to his old jaunt just for the occasion! Awesome to see everyone and to meet some new forum members.

Here are some quick videos:

And I thought I would take a single pic of each coupe I saw:

Here are a few more quick videos. Not e9 focused but strictly to give a “feel” of the event for those who were not there.

Given that I'm contemplating a B35 swap my focus was on engine compartments. Not everyone had their hoods up but here are some coupe engine photos.

Jeff, nice pics!

You can upload your photos directly to the site by clicking the button "Upload a File" at the bottom right of the Reply box. This makes them easier to see instead of being sent to an external link and it keep the photos with your post in case that external account gets deleted later on.

Just be sure to resize them to no more than 1000 pixels wide or high otherwise the upload will not work. (Dang, is that the correct upper limits for picture size? It certainly seems good enough for viewing on a monitor.)

Ha! They came in, parked the car there, ugly wheels and all, and then disappeared before anyone could ask them to open the hood. Or at least before I could. Maybe someone else was able to later on?

Anyone check out the V8 auto one for sale?
verde2002, I did take a good look at what I could see it appeared to be solid and represented honestly. didn't get a chance to look under the hood. might be a good candidate as a starting point if the price was right.

Thanks for the photos guys - Its really the only way John and I get to see the show since we're running around in the morning getting everyone set and then manning the booth and putting out (figurative) fires all day. If I didn't say hi to all of you my apologies, but always best to catch me at the info booth. a special shout out and thanks to coupe ubermeister Chris Macha, who mans the gate before entry and keeps the field clear of those not supposed to be there. It was also great to see Mike down from Monterey - now we all have to plan a trip north. 17 coupes is a great turnout, even with a couple parked out in the lot - what's that about? Hopefully my E9 is done for next year, but seems I've been saying that a lot of years now. Thanks again all of you!!
