Tomorrow Meguiar's will open up the rest of the class spaces (about 20 right now)to the general public and it will fill very fast. And 5/18 is Bimmerfest - the BF boys have handed us the reins of getting all the classic cars wrangled and parked quickly and neatly in the Heritage Corral, and we're going to need all your cooperation to pull it off. Make sure you go to the following link - type all your info right on the form and print out - please have this when you arrive!

Here is the Bimmerfest timeline:

6:30-45 - Arrive at Rose Bowl Aquatics Center - and buy SoCal Vintage Tshirts! Here's the location:

7AM - Vintage BMW Car Lineup to drive the half mile to Lot F - map is attached.

7:15am - SoCal Vintage BMW group drives over to lot F, the gate will be opened for SoCal Vintage only and then immediately closed. We will need help turning away non-classics that might have been picked up with our group. As you drive in form a line facing the connecting 'chute' to the grass lot H. Once in line engines can be shut off. Their parking attendants will collect entrance money ($20) from everyone in lot F by walking to each car so no one needs to have their car running.

3) 7:30am - Once everyone has paid for parking service they will open the 'chute' gate from lot F to lot H (grass) and we can drive as a group onto the grass and to the classic area, which is in the same place as last year.

There we will have volunteers getting you into parking formation. Please follow their direction and don't drive off and park somewhere on your own - we've worked hard for the privilege to run the Heritage Corral in the manner our group has asked us for so please work with us. We are expected to get everyone parked quickly and neatly so we all can go enjoy the fest.

IMPORTANT! Be aware that Bimmerfest defines their classics differently:

Classics include:
3 Series E21 and older
5 Series E28 and older
6 Series E24 and older
Any BMW produced prior to 1982 - E3s, E9s, 2002s, etc

If you miss the 7:00am entrance you will be able to enter through their Group Parking entrance but there will be a line and the cost is $30. Please arrive on time so you don't get stuck paying more and waiting in line.

More info to come - Mark your calendars as 6/22 is the Malibu Run to Bavarian Workshop and the legendary Marc Norris in West Hills

See you guys Saturday in Irvine and on 5/18 in Pasadena!

Anyone know if any kind of tent/shade is allowed if you're in the group section? Nothing huge but thinking one of those portable 9' x 9' sun shade things...if I'm leaving SD at 0430 I may need a nap in the back seat!
