Could also be slave, see if there is any fluid in the rubber boot.

Umm... they both actually have failed.
Most probably there is no fluid. check the level in the reservoir and fill as needed. Stroke the clutch pedal and bleed the slave cylinder.
there are other (less probable) causes, but with as little info as provided, a simple response is most appropriate.

Low level in the reservoir
With suddenly low level in the reservoir and no spots of hydraulic fluid under the car on the garage floor, I would directly check for a leaking master clutch cylinder.
Unfortunately the master clutch cylinder will leak inside the car (under the carpet)!
In that case, crawl under the pedal box and take a look.
