Hi Folks,
Time for me to make some trade offs. This is no flip, I should really be keeping this bumper. However, if is the easiest way to neutrally address my latest impulsivity.
I am selling this bumper as a complete setup. I searched around and it looks like core bumpers are going for $1,000 each end. I know I have helped a few folks source some domestically at that price point. We know that folks want over $100 for the little chrome center piece, and $200 - $300 for underriders. Based on what I found, my price for all of the above seems reasonable. Nobody is going to open a box with a $1,000 driver-grade bumper and be super thrilled, but these are the times that we live in.
Lots of pics. This is the combination of the best of my two rear bumpers. The left side is mounted to my project car. It was an OEM replacement in the ‘80’s due to a rear-end collision. I still have the orange sticker on my tail panel. This piece has some surface swirls near the plate light, but is in overall very good shape.
The passenger side is from the CSI donor, guaranteeing that you are buying to euro halves. This piece is a bit more dull. There is a dime sized “surface crinkle” below the rear reflector area on the top of the bumper. The under side on the fender area is more dull than elsewhere, but obviously less notifies me. There is some swirling near the plate light, and it is nearly completely covered (and likely caused) by the light.
Underriders are in very good condition. They are dirty on the inside but not rusty, and are structurally sound. The chrome is in good usable shape. There is a small stain on the driver’s inboard section of the underrider, about the diameter of a pencil.
Rubber included, and I have three to chose from, picking the best. I also have the clips from both bumpers to cherry pic. The current rubber on the red car is slightly wavy from me pulling on it to clean the edge.
I will clean these well before shipping, but don’t expect any “my show car won’t need chrome” miracles. Use the bumper as-is for your driver, or rechrome without metal prep. I will be sure to
scrub the innards as well.
PM me for details. I’m up for split shipping or an agreeable discounted flat rate. These bumpers aren’t too heavy or big once disassembled so I think I can get these to the lower 48 at a very reasonable rate.
