150-> 100 euro now.
For sale left side rear bumper euro version.

Side mount has broken off on the top side, so that needs to be rewelded (will discolor the chrome). Comes with new m8 clip.

Chrome is mostly dull, with rustspots max 5 mm across appearing on the bottom side. Noticeably shiner where the rubber has been. With original BMW strip to hold the rubber (has the matches, to better keep the rubber nicely close to the body) .

Fit on my car is near perfect, see pics.
In the pic with my two fingers there are 2 dents: difficult to photograph, but not much visible in real life.

Price 150 -> 100 euro. Located in the Netherlands. Shipping upon request.

Erik.

Why do some of the galvanized strips that are riveted to the bumper have "sharks teeth" and others do not? I understand the function but obviously not needed. My Euro did not have them.

Don't know for sure. The parts with shark teeth I believe are bmw (mine still parts of a bmw sticker.on them), Walloth repro's do not have the shark teeth.

If you get an ok fitment of your rubber on a strip without the teeth, then indeed it seems that they may not be necessary.

I guess they help in two aspects: with the shark teeth, it is easier to get the top and bottom edge of the steel strip to bend in slightly towards the car, resulting in getting the rubber edge to sit nicely without a gap to the chrome.

Secondly the rubber has the tendency to buckle roughly in the middle of the arc of the bumper, below the yellow direction indicator. This can be solved by pulling the loose end of the rubber strip hard when installing it, pushing it onto the strip while holding the free end under tension. The teeth in that case help to hold the rubber in place and prevent it from sliding along the strip.

On this particular part, it seems that part has been replaced by a PO, hence the absence of rust on that part.

Rubber changes slightly it's dimensions with the temperature changes (shrinks at cold and expands at hot). With the "sharks teeth" there is less chance it will move out or twist after some time on the car used in different temperatures.
