The 1974 3.0cs wiring diagram lists position 111, 112, and 113 as Solder Tags 15, 15, and 31.

Can anyone tell me what Solder Tags are and what relevance they might have to the function of the window wiring?

Thanks in advance.

Here's what the solder connection looks like on the ground wires in the trunk of an '02. I don't think they are actually "soldered". They seem to be just a crimped joint. This is a common electrical problem area as the connections are simply wrapped in tape and tend to corrode especially in the engine bay. We strip back the wires and replace these connections with silicone filled, heat-shrink connectors.

Thanks.

That answers 2 questions. I've seen a few of these tags around the power window wiring. I was wondering if this was a factory thing or something a previous owner committed.

Now I know.

Thanks.
