What a strange but interesting mix of cars. Was there any directive or ruling to determine what/who was allowed to enter?
I wonder what the story is with that gray MG with one fog (?) light inserted in the grille right in front of the radiator and then two air intakes on each side where you would think additional lights would go.
Interesting cars and great pics. Thanks for posting! It looks like it was part of an organized rally or something along those lines. The event placard stuck in the Morgan's front grille kind of cracks me up. Good thing it's a cool day.
These photos are priceless! A few really stand out to me,
Yes! That two tone W111 is stunningThen there is the #21 Mercedes, 2 door,
I did not know that the Spanish revolution effectively ended Motorsport road racing in Spain. I know San Sebastián as a location in Hemmigway’s The Sun Also Rises. Bull fighting was the backdrop in that book but it’s nice to learn of San Sebastian’s connection to racing.
Thanks!
These photos are priceless! A few really stand out to me, anyway : Car number 30, the SEAT 4 door, the expression on the driver's face, as someone puts his hand on the window/door sill...YIKES!. Then there is the #21 Mercedes, 2 door, what really makes this authentic, in my opinion, is the driver's moustache, perfect!. Also, that Dove Grey MGA, is so well "kitted out", I am very impressed. I am sure there is substantial history attached to that car. Thanks for posting these, deQ!

deQ,thank you John,
it might be a license of the writer, war usually stops things, subsequent crisis and poverty keep cool things frozen
BTW, Spaniards would never call Spanish civil war as Spanish revolution, my guess is that they would be offended, both sides…
