I guess I'm 1/2 way with the re assembly, seems to be taking forever, I just don't seem to find much time with work and family etc, but some photos of the finished bits.

Looks very nice! That is another issue I must address in my car.
I am curious about the screwdrivers, mine are just as yours for a 73' 3.0CS, what's with the red ones?

Regards, Alberto

Not sure Alberto, I guess one of the more knowledgeable guys could tell you, The grey screwdriver came with the car, the green one I bought from Samstag Sales in the states
They have all the tools except the feeler gauge and funny bent thing (top Lh side of tool box) and no allan keys (i bought a cheep set and cut them down and painted them silver)

Look's great!!

After nine years of ownership, I'm finally doing the same project myself. I spent the weekend doing bodywork on my toolbox.

well done
great work done

"the funny bent thing...?" ha, ha, ha
it is a very useful tool for a critical task, to set the gap of the valves !
i used it each 5000km
regards

I also use it to remove the round knob that opens the 1/4 windows. The right angle side fits nicely through the hole in back to push the plastic chrome piece out from behind.

Shot of the out side of the car, engine now runs again, brakes and clutch bleed and working.. Can't put it off any longer, but it's time to get the windows and doors finished, wish me luck!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346147401.132088.jpg

Nice work!

Is there anything that secures the trunk caddy to the floor/wall of the trunk? Or does it just slide around in there? Mine has three snap looking things on one side but nothing looks even remotely like the receiving snaps anywhere in the trunk

The caddy is a nice tight fit under the fuel filler bellows/hose, I guess after I carpet the boot it wont slide around at all, if it does I will just screw it down to the floor

I bought a caddy off ebay and it also had three pop buttons but i cant see where it would attahc. I had 4 old screw holes in the boot floor so i attached it using those holes.

Personally, I would lose the trunk caddy as most if not all of them always look very tattered. Even of new, they have a cheap look about them, never mind displaying all the unsightly miscellaneous knickknacks that one would put in them.
