There is a twin-screw E9 with an unknown engine type that looks to be laying out 400+rwhp. Other than that, the chassis is so whippy that it could really use some additional reinforcement before big hp is introduced.
If you want lots more power, a turbo kit would be the way to go. Turbocharging Dynamics http://www.turbochargingdynamics.com/ makes both a LHD and a RHD kit, if I'm not mistaken. You would need to convert to Motronic engine management, however.
Given than you are in Sweden, you may instead want to look up Andreas at Pure Performance Factory. http://www.pure-pf.com/projekt.htm Those guys have built a S38 E30 with 900+ rwhp.
Horsepower is no problems.hade a 745 engine with 3x dellorto 40 about 400Hp,Putting in now Turboconverted M5 engine with Haltech E11 injection.Just interested of what people with lot Hp have done with their chassis.
With that much power you really need to reinforce and brace the rear differential mount. Otherwise it will tear itself out of the body.
I would seriously contemplate a full roll cage. This will stiffen up the shell, and provide protection. (See Gazzol's posts in Restorations)
Have fun
