Sorry if repost, but CSi $110k sold?!?!?

Many mods like b35 and 5 speed can add value and this coupe had a serious restoration, it's stunning. This is what a top coupe goes for nowadays, I know several at this price point.

Is this correct?

In all, 4,455 were built from 1971 to 1974. I'm thinking not, if that were the case then I could see the price tag.

It's the same coupe that sold at Bruce Canepa a few years back. Don't know how much it sold for back then, but there are no "bargain" cars at this high end car place.

Peter,

Around 3500 coupes were imported to North America out of 30,000 produced. As I said, I know of several coupes that have sold for $100K or more. I think Carl N did the motor/trans on this one. Auction fever drives up prices too.

Anybody know what that 5th toggle switch on the console is for? Never seen that.

Yes, I wondered about that too. Power radio antenna perhaps?

I was impressed to read in the write-up that this car has "four-wheel power hydraulic disc brakes". I hate it when 6 figure cars have two-wheel mechanical brakes.

I saw this car at Carl's a long time ago. I remember that everything on the car was absolutely flawless; paint, interior, chrome, etc. The color wasn't stock, but the depth of perfection in all the details was amazing.

Nice looking car!
I will file these nice pics into disc consuming category "Frankensteiners" :-)

" including the installation of a rebuilt 3.5-liter engine"

M30B35? With the old style E9/E12 intake? So wondering if still using the old L-Jet EFI or somehow got the newer Motronic work w/the old intake?

..... wasn't stock, but the depth of perfection in all the details was amazing.

Which is why it sold for $110K

I'm not getting why people don't accept this price for a car of this quality. Sure it isn't stock, but the improvements are well thought-out and well executed. I suspect whoever had this car built spent far in excess of $110K. Now, if it had a small block Chevy and 19" wheels I could understand the objections.
