Source for electric work... starters, alternators...

This is the place I'm having my alternator worked on for my '76 2002. Old timer (Mike), looks like a mad scientist when he's using his old testing equipment. I can buy a reman alternator for $100 on ebay but he can rebuild the whole thing with stator, brushes, etc. for much less, and I'll know what I have when he's done. Mine has a bad diode, but he'll check everything else out too.

I've had remanufactured starters last for less than 10 starts before it died and needed to be replaced. Glad you have a source for an old fashioned rebuild.

Just a bad diode so he replaced all three with quality parts and said the brushes looked new and he tested it for over a half-hour while working on other stuff to check the bearings, etc., and all is well. $20!
