After hitting several blank walls trying to get a spare key cut for my 3.0CS, local dealer, negative, local keyshops, negative, traditional online Coupe suppliers, negative... I stumbled onto a site called:

Although my model wasn't listed on the website, an email inquiry received a quick confirmation that they could provide a duplicate... I just needed to send in a closeup picture of the key. Cost was $40 for 2 keys plus $3.95 shipping

Prices were reasonable, and turnaround quick. I have no affiliation with this company, but thought this resource would be of value to other owners.

This is a good vendor, a stand-up guy. He's in Australia, but using the mail has very reasonable shipping cost and quick service. I ordered a couple keys for my old e12 from him, using the key code. Because he had an email problem on his end, he was a few days late shipping. Without any complaint from me, he sent an extra key to apologize for the delay!

I made Xerox copies of my keys and enlarged them 100%. I then sent the Xerox copies to Santa Monica Lock & Safe. The duplicate keys worked perfectly. I believe they charge $35.00 per key.

I also keep a Xerox copy of my key(s) in my car file, just in case.
