Finally!
As previously announced, Southeast Sharkfest 2017 is confirmed for the weekend of April 29th, 2017. This has been a rough year in terms of planning. Last March, I (Kai) welcomed a new baby girl into our lives. While she is an amazing addition to our life, the experience has also been extraordinarily time consuming. Between that and some scheduling conflicts, we had a difficult run of it - so again, please forgive the delay.
That being said, we have pulled through with a spectacular venue at Chateau Elan in Braselton, GA. We will kickoff as usual with early arrivals on Thursday, April 27th and conclude on the morning on Sunday April 30th (assuming Lee, JT, Greg and the bunch can find a brunch place).

Chateau Elan offers a sprawling 3500 acre full service resort including a substantial operating winery, spa, numerous on-site restaurants as well as a 63 hole championship golf course. We will be holding our display in the shadow of of the winery on Saturday, April 29th followed by an awards dinner at the on-site country club.

We have secured two lodging options that are both on-site at Chateau Elan:

Chateau Elan Inn
SESF Rate: $239/night
Wonderfully appointed to meet the highest expectations. We will only have a small block of rooms at the Inn, but we will be conducting registrations at one of the onsite restaurants on Thursday and Friday evenings.

Hampton Inn & Suites
SESF Rate: $149/night
The majority of our rooms are blocked at this brand new facility (opened this year). To restate: it is on-site at Chateau Elan and allows for the use of all facilities. Daily hot breakfast, internet access and parking are included in the rate.

For more information about Chateau Elan, please visit: www.chateauelan.com

We are currently building the 2017 event page and it should be online this weekend to begin accepting registrations - the registration fee this year is $90/per person (children under 13 free). Links to make reservations at our host properties will also be simultaneously available on the website. An email reminder will go out when it is live.

We can't wait to see everyone there!

Sincerely,
Kai Xing,
Nat Arnold,
Eugene Sherbin,
...and the entire Southeast Sharkfest 2017 Crew!

Guys: Congrats on this location. It hosted the inaugural Atlanta Concours last year and was very impressive. (That event used to golf course for the show but many folks stayed at the winery). Plus it's about 45 minutes from my house.

You may know that Don Panoz, who created Chateau Elan, also started (with his son) Panoz Sports Cars. Their factory and museum is a mile from Chateau Elan and is a fascinating tour. Usually closed on Saturday but might open for special groups.

Don

No I was not aware of the Panoz link - very cool! We're looking at our Friday operation and have some really neat things possible. I will add that to the list.

I certainly hope being so close that we'll see you there!
