Southeast Sharkfest Update - Judge Request!
Hello Folks,
As mentioned in a post earlier this year, we will be opening up a judging class for e9's at Southeast Sharkfest. We have some folks who come with e24's who also own e9's, so judging these cars will not be totally foreign. That being said, we will need some assistance - probably one or two volunteers - who would like to assist lead judge (James Laws) on the show day.
I want to be clear that while we are not a white glove Amelia Island concours event, James and the e24 judging team that has assisted every year has done us proud with the quality of judging put forward. Anyone who has been to a SESF event can attest to that. Everyone who requests will receive their judging sheets with their specific scores for each judged criteria, which allows for improvement in subsequent years. We have had points battles (always friendly) for the ridiculously beautiful hand-crafted trophies that Phil Parkey comes up with every year.
So that being said, do we have one or two folks that would like to participate as e9 judges at this years' event? Due to the number of e24 judges we have had, being a judge in the e24 class has not necessarily resulted in exclusion from having ones own car judged. Due to the limited number of e9's, however, e9 judges MAY not be able to have their own car judged, so do keep that in mind. This is not a certainty and we will have to see how things work out. Additionally, this is a rain or shine commitment. We will NOT be doing the high mountain venue again this year, so a repeat of 40 degree temperatures on "judgement day" are highly unlikely.
And Remember - the show is only a part of Southeast Sharkfest - the mountain drive and a weekend of comradery with like-minded enthusiasts should be the real draws!
I really look forward to seeing an e9 contingent alongside their younger brethren this year!
