Spare bolt down

Can anyone show with a photo what should hold the spare down? The stud from the trunk floor does not seem to reach the height of my spare (the spare is a BBS with a 60 series tire) so I cannot get a bolt on it. the car is a '70 2800CS. thanks.

Unfortunately this is quite a common problem as the original "bolt down" was designed for standard BMW wheels. I too have BBS wheels that won't fit but I have a BMW steel wheel as a spare with the correct offset and sized tyre that will!
I have the same problem with my 2002Tii, in the end I made a dished bracket / clamp that grips the wheel but allows me to bolt it down
