Spare wheel size options

I'm looking at getting a spare wheel for my car (I don’t have one). Im assuming a 7x14 (205/70) Alpina will fit in the trunk without mods, but what about a 7x16 Alpina (205/50) ?

Since it is no wider than the 205 on a 7x14 and since the outer diameter is similar or equal, it should fit into to space in the trunk without any problem

You need to find a tire that will fit both the rim and the spare tire well.

Does anyone happen to know what the factory rim and tire specs are ? Or, has anyone managed to fit a 7x16 spare in the well ?

Since the stock tire size on mine was 195/70x14, I suspect anything wider (e.g. 205) is likely to prevent the trunk floor panel from fitting properly.
