Searched this but no luck...

I purchased a set of Bosch Super Plus (WR 8 DCX) from BimmerDoc for a tune up; the package indicates a gap of 1.1mm (.044"); the Blue Book shows Bosch W175 T30 (.6mm, .024") as the OE plug/gap. Which measurement should I use? Thanks!

For a stock ignition system I've had good success with .028". Manual says range is .024-.028". If you have Pertonix or a 123ignition distributor you can try .030" which is what I currently run.

Correct- I run on the tall side of the gap. I also run a Pertronix and found that gap does fine.

OTOH - When I used my car (2002 back then) as a 'daily driver' back in the early 1980's in California and actually put decent amount of miles on it (30,000 miles a year actually) - I ran the gap smaller so that when the electrode abraded away - the gap stayed in the 'good' zone and let the plug stay useable for the full time between tune ups.

That was then though - nowadays - I don't drive the E9 anywhere near that much to worry about that aspect of it.

YMMV as always...
Good luck
