Speaker install compromise rigidity of cs ?

The p.o of my 74 cs installed speakers in the sheet metal cross member, below the front edge of the rear seats. Curious as to the group's opinion as to whether or not this "upgrade" would aggravate the notorious cs flex. I care much more about the handling than I do about the sound.

It probably didn't help, but you can fix whatever was lost, and possibly make it better than original, by adding a bar under the lip of that metal divider and welding it to the body at both sides.
