Spedo Drive Gear

I realize that that the speedo drive gear from numerous 4-speeds will work in a G265/6. RealOEM lists this same part for the automatics from our cars.

Can anyone tell me with certainty if the gears from the autos will work in the 5-speeds? I have searched for hours and couldn't find any info on this particular question...

Speedo Gear

The 4sp, 5sp and auto use the same speedo gear housing but the gears have a different number of teeth. I had to convert my 4sp CS to an auto (handicap, no clutch foot), I installed a ZF 3HP from a 1979 528i. I ordered a different drive gear to correct the speedo.

Are you talking on the tranny side or the cable side? RealOEM lists the tailshaft drive gear as the same part number in all cases.

Not questioning, just clarifying...
