Guten Tag friends!

When I bought my 3.0CS, it came with a Purolator spin-on adapter mount for the oil filter. I want to change the oil, but I can't read the Purolator filter model number. It appears to be R(?)M ?0?. Does anyone know what this filter model is? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If this resembles your setup, you could try cross-referencing the HP-2 for equivalent Purolator number. (Some Purolator filters have been renumbered over the years.) If the adapter has a purolator embossing, you might be able to obtain additional information directly from Purolator.

Be advised that the HP-6 is similar but slightly larger than the HP-2. Also, there are other spin-on adapters that use Fram PH5 or PH25 (or equivalent) 1986-2002 Chevrolets.

If it's a Korman model he recommends a Fram HP-2 filter because of the strength of the walls. Mine is another manufacturer and I use a different size Royal Purple filter, I am traveling now but can get that model # tomorrow, it should be one or the other and you can compare at the parts store.

Adapter

I have one of these adapters from Ireland Engineering. Will not work for me as I have a top bolt can. Unfortunate as the filter included is some off the wall japanese brand, so I cannot help there. If someone would like this bit....cheap. Say $45 + shipping. Me, I just pull the entire assembly from the block with spare gasket in hand as others do. EZ
