Splotches in my paint!

At a recent show in the high 80's degree heat, it began to rain. I got out a disposable clear plastic cover. Took it off when the rain stopped. When I got home & garaged the car, I noticed splotches in the paint. I think something in the cover may have leached into the paint even tho it had been detailed beforehand. How to remove?
 
Test an area with polish. If that doesn't remove it do to the next aggressive step with cutting/polishing until you get the rubbing compound. It won't hurt it..
 
IF ITS NOT TOO DEEP USE
mcquires 105 and a rotary buffer with the mcquires cut pad
the absolute only way to clear bad surfaces or blemishes.

IT WORKED FOR ME took out a few scratches
that i thought were going to have to cause me to paint
 
It's really hard to give any advice without being able to look at the paint in person. Instead of getting 20 different ideas from all us, you might want to take to a professional detailer and have them look at it. It will probably be worth paying them to correct instead of taking a chance of ruining your paint by doing it yourself.

When I say 'professional' detailer, I mean it. Their are so many car detailers out there and some of them aren't any good. Ask around and find a good one close to you.
 
It's best never to put polyethylene or other soft plastics on car paintwork as I'm sure you are now aware. The newer the paint the greater the chances of it marking it. As has been already stated a rotary buffer should sort it, if you aren't confident in using one or haven't used one before it's probably better to pay a pro to do it.
