For anyone that did hear about the Festival of Speed in Spokane, WA October 1st, it unfortunately has been cancelled due to Covid number increase in the Spokane area. It should be back next year if you want to mark your calendar. It's too bad, it was an outdoor event, sanctioned by the city, downtown city blocks cordoned off, there was going to be a police escort for the race cars to enter event driven on the streets of Spokane and a BEER GARDEN! All the boxes were checked for me, my mechanic/friend here is the President of the event and John Barlow of SoCal Vintage fame was another organizer and put a lot of work in to make it happen, but unfortunately they couldn't get a consensus of "yeah" votes to push it to the finish line. Mark your calendar's for next year. They were thinking of changing venues to here in Coeur d'Alene, ID where restrictions are basically non-existant, but at this point I don't think it will happen. Anyone that was planning on coming out and are still coming, we will be getting a group together for a drive and I will host a BBQ Friday the 1st or Sat. the 2nd. So if interested, PM me for more details. I threw in a couple pics of a small BMW CCA event yesterday here in Hayden, ID and where the Festival of Speed was to be held.
