The prior owner of my car had it maintained at that shop

There is no advantage anymore wrt getting such a plate. Use to be able to park in a no parking zone with MD plates in the era of "making a house call". I recall driving on the "Major Degan" in NY and saw a plate that said "Mrs DDS" on a jaguar, I got nauseated.

Seriously, my wife if from LI, I medicate myself before we drive down. The roadways were obsolete before the ribbon was cut. I want to send a sympathy card to that poor E3!

Bob, I remember driving with my uncle on the Big LIE one Sunday afternoon. Bumper to bumper as far a the eye could see in both directions. I asked him if traffic was always this bad. He said, seriously, this is typical, it's moving rather well. It was 1971. The gift from Robert Moses that keeps on giving. At 9 1/2 MPH.
