Well I guess, I'm going to break down and do the Brake Lines. Still nothing out of my rear brakes so this seems to be the next step. Any suggestions on where the best place to get SS Brake Lines? Do I need to consider replacing or rebuilding the master cylinder or pressure regulator?

The pedal method

If and when, and I have too many times to count, I need bleed with the pedal, I put a chunk of 2 X 4 under the pedal and never go clear to the floor. Reason being that if it was good pedal before, if you now go to the floor you will shift the master into a possible junk zone tearing up the seals and making ruin of the master. Often times as well, a full to the floor stroke will off center the balance valve and you will get the idiot light forever on some cars.
Just my 2 cents

I did remove the metal tube connection to the rear calipers (which were just rebuilt). Even took a wire and pushed it up a ways to see if there was anything obstructions. Nothing unless its up further towards the rubber tube. And no fluid. I will check the hose next. I do have front brakes that seem to be working OK.

Assumed you had rebuilt only the front calipers.

Few remaining choices:
(1) go to the master cylinder and check for pressure there, by cracking the port to the rears (
I believe port No.5) or
(2) work back to front, and remove each rear hose, and so on, until you obtain unrestricted fluid flow.

If you feel lucky, you might want to try shortcutting the detective work and go right to the pressure regulating valve inlet. http://www.e9-driven.com/Public/Library/BMW-E9-Manual/pages/en/34341000.html#refertoc At any rate, there isn't much more to blame.

Where to get S/S brake lines

My friends of 30+ years at Mesa Performance usually have them in their store--Suggest you get acquainted with those guys as they are very knowedgable of all our early cars--E-9, E-3, 2002's, E-12's, and e-30's to name a few.
