as Gary Knox posted in another post about the sponge rubber seal that he used on the back of the doors, i went searching through their catalog. there appears to be a seal that could be applicable for the firewall seal (in front of the wipers)

it doesn't have the "S" bend that the original has ... but is probably more flexible than the new BMW seal.

there are also grommets that specify the inner diameter / exterior diameter / hole diameter ... and the slot width. there are also some body plugs.

BTW - did NOT find generic rubber that matched our door seals around the doors / windows

I need a new firewall seal and am going to try this. I also ordered a foot of this to see if it might work for a trunk seal (around the sides and top, with a chunk of the original seal at the bottom).
