Steering column swivel joint

Hello all,

I'm in need of a swivel joint for the lower steering column. RealOem shows the part number as 32311150761. However, over in the E9 section, recommendations were made to 32311150489 and 32311111708 which are available from Rogerstii and W&N. Are these interchangeable? Looking at the pictures it looks like the difference is that one is steel and the other is aluminum, but I want to make sure before ordering.

As a side, has anyone had any success having them rebuilt at a driveline shop?

Strange, seems to be common only with euro e9, e12 and e24.

Cannot speak for the E9, I used an extra one from my E24 on my Bavaria with no issue. There is enough latitude in the fitment to allow for any differences in dimensions. The alum part was once cheap, OEM was under 50 bucks, que paso?

Yes, the aluminum part is cross referenced for several models. I’m 90% sure it’ll fit - just different material. OEM for the aluminum part is $160-$400 now! I’ve seen an MTS one for $55. I’m just not sure about MTS quality.
