I have one of the red urethane steering couplers from Ireland Engineering, which I will very soon attempt to install.
Has anybody done this? Any tips to share?

Basically undo the 2 bolts and nuts as well as the nuts from the lower steering column, BUT can one tilt the U-joint to pull out the coupler, or does the upper steering column have to be lowered or removed as well??

I Put one of the Ireland couplers in TBL and as I recall had to undo the steering column to move the shaft enough to take out the old one and put in the new one. Sounds like the engine is or will be out of your car which would definitely be the preferred time to do the swap.

yeah

+1 on Phil's comment. I recently had to remove the u-joint because it had frozen again... nevermind... and had to loosen the whole column inside the car. Not difficult, just time and contortions. Had to remove the u-joint from underneath. It helps to have a comfy creeper to lie on.
