Steering rack

Who has done it? I figured with 2 subframes side by side if I lined up the rack so the tie rods were on the same plane it would work...

yea, that car has S54 and associated later model subframe...my car is M30 powered stock body, have to use rear steer rack....anyone out there done it??

short version, Used a 320 rack , would have perfered to find a rack with power assist though

on a stock E9 it is impossible imho... we have tryed it with a upside down RHD rack&pinion. The angle with the steering column is way to big. Race cars can do it because the new firewall is 8" more to the back...

Hi Al, there is a company down here in Oz called retro racks or retro raks, may be worth a look, everything is adjustable on the the rack itself.
