Do anyone know where I can get my foam steering repaired. I got several sections with dime size areas worn away. Are there a good repair service place to do the repairs? Thanks

i know there was a discussion about this a year or so ago on the forum. i think there were 2 people who do this - AGLA and who ever coupeguy uses. i don't think either is that affordable. one option would be to buy another wheel + spokes and mount it to your hub + use your horn button. there are some on ebay occasionally in germany or sometimes you can find one that came on a scirocco back in the day. i have seen these wheels without hubs sell for around 250 bucks. if you go this route, you might be able to sell your existing wheel (without hub) to coupeguy so that he could recover it. the operative word is maybe - no idea if Dan is buying, but it is free to ask.

the bottom line is, you will have to cover it in leather as i don't think you can really repair those wheels (fill voids) and make it look good visually.

He just did an Alpina wheel for me and an M6 wheel for a friend I referred. He recovered mine and gave me my choice of stitch type and stitch color for $175 plus shipping which ran $15 each way with Fed Ex. Turn time was less than a week. Contact him and he will give you his phone number which I misplaced. He loves to talk to his customers. Tell him I referred you.

This fellow is an absolute great resource. On the E24 forums, AGLA is not well thought of. Untimely and sloppy work which he won't back up seem to be the issues.
