My speedometer needle is sticking as I drive. Just started happening last week. The odometer is working fine as is the trip odo so I don't think it's a cable problem. The needle will get to a 20 mph and stop. I've gotten to move up if I tap on the speedo glass but it will still stick at higher speeds. It will fall back down to zero when I stop. There is no noise comming from the speedo and the needle is straight and not rubbing against the face.
Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. Is it just a matter of taking the speedo out and getting some lubrication in there? Or, is it rebuild time.
