stitch-welding: overkill or worth it for modified CSL?

I have a pin hole of rust in a floor board and some surface rust in the interior. So, the CSL will be at the body shop getting the once over on the interior. While I'm in there, I thought maybe I should stitch-weld under the rear seat, a la CoupeKing (http://www.coupeking.com/product_main.php?product_id=405)

Is that overkill? I may end up building a ~250hp motor for the car, so it will have a few more ponies than the stock D-Jet....

Thoughts?

I'm not the expert on this but I plan to stitch weld both areas shown on Coupeking's restoration hints. I'm hoping he will also post photos of where to do this in the engine bay and front fire wall.

Being non cosmetic, it will be a good place to learn basic MIG welding. There are nice little spot/strip low cfm blasting guns with self dust recovery for doing the prep.
