Stock Air Filter Housing Re-paint

I've searched this site unsuccessfully, so here it goes:

Looking to "restore" the factory housing on my '74 CS. Its in excellent shape but just needs a good cleaning and some paint touch up; I figured I would just have it re-sprayed. Is there a BMW paint code available, or can a good paint shop just match the color?

I don't know the paint colour code, but if there is a "reasonable" BM dealship near you somebody in the parts and or service department might know.....
A good paint shop, especially commercial paint suppliers can computer match paint colours. Take along you air cleaner box and they should be able to "scan" it for you.
Don't forget to go to people who paint lorries (trucks/commecial vehicles/18 wheelers), custom paint shops, vehicle sign writers who do fancy graphics, one offs for people too.
