Unbelivable.I have my '72 CS at ACM bodyshop in Escondido to repair the front end body damage.
O/C Mike was nice enough to supply me with the front clip from his parts car last.
I dropped it off at the body shop that day.
Just got off the phone with the shop and they told me it was stolen this morning. He has been there for 20 years and has never anything like that happen.
So, since the CS community is such a small group of people if this happens to surface please let me know ASAP.
Needless to say I'm looking for a front clip!

probably stolen for scrap. Check the local recyclers that take steel before it gets munched.

Crazy

That is trouble. I live in fear for all the stuff that is out there, older gents who pass away and have a hoard that the younger folks may look at as scrap. I know of at least two eccentric gentleman here in B.C. who hoard and covet. Such is life...or death as you will.

It will most likely be at one of the nearby scrap metal companies like already mentioned. Find out who takes scrap metal in your area, which will only be a couple at best I'm guessing, and tell them what happened. They may let you look at their latest "pile". Aluminum recyclers are all over the place, but metal recyclers are specialized, large and rare in comparison.

Good luck.

BTW, the shop is technically responsible for the loss, just like if an auto dismantler had dropped off some used parts for one of their other cars. Not sure it will help, but that's the case.
