Yes, I own and watch ebay sales of Jaguar E Types, mine is a 67 S1 FHC and while looking around on eBay I came across what has to be the single most stupid use of a Jaguar or possibly any car. Incredably its a waste of a real Jaguar, claims all steel body, even tho a fiberglass E Type body is available. Odds are once you click on this link you will also be speachless.

You could own that. Someone should buy that. It complements an E9 very well. (haha)

tsk, tsk ! not that bad ! its a jag !

this one is also trying this: "...the chance to preserve a bit of automotive history" ???

I will quote this from my favourite writter:

“If once a man indulges himself in murder, very soon he comes to think little of robbing; and from robbing he comes next to drinking and Sabbath-breaking, and from that to incivility and procrastination. Once begun upon this downward path, you never know where you are to stop. Many a man has dated his ruin from some murder or other that perhaps he thought little of at the time.”

This car demonstrates that, yes, cars really do rust here in California. Especially when they're stored outdoors at the beach. The poor thing is too far gone even for the blown Cadillac rear-engine treatment.

What? You don't like hot rods?

They made a bazillions xke's.
Is it really that bad when someone takes what was probably a rust bucket or wreck and turns it into a hot rod. Yes, it's hideous ... But it's not as if someone butchered an alloy xk120...

Well, at least they started with a 2+2 coupe. I had a '69 E-type roadster (OTS) and it will probably be the only car I ever regret selling. Awesome cars.

Dan

Only the 2+2 had enough space for that

motor behind the rear seat.
BTW, I think it looks hideous ... even as hot rods go. Maybe this was one guys interpretation of a British "funny car"
