Style 5 wheels

E34 wheels

A perfectly timed question.

I just borrowed exactly the same wheel as you have pictured, complete with a tire from my mates 1991 E34 to find the answer to the same question.

The short answer is no, also they will not fit if it is lowered.

Thanks Dave! Anyone else have suggestions for a an attractive, affordable wheel setup for a lowered coupe? Looking for something to get by with while I keep an eye out for a good deal on Alpinas...

I find it odd that they would not fit. I have type 61 wheels on my cs and they are 16x7.5 ET20. They seem to fit fine, other than the fronts needing the inner fender lips to be rolled. The fronts tires do come close to touching the struts, but they don't touch with staggered tires (205 fronts).

Found a set of 17x8 on CL last night. A 180 mile round trip, but the price was definitely right! Had to remove the GT3 seat to fit all 4 in the DD... who says this is an impractical car?

Sorry,I should have posted the long answer

My struts are off the car,I tried to mount a 15x7,e20 with a 225/50 tire to the hub and the tire hit the strut.

From reading the recent posts it sounds like the 225 tire is the problem, not sure as I don't have a rim to try.
My apology.

Vince, can you provide a few more details. What size tires are you running front and rear? How thick are the spacers? What suspension setup are you running? Does it ever rub?

I'm interested because I've been on the fence between these 17" style 5's or 16" BBS RS's. I already have the bbs's but I'm considering selling them.
