Are you converting from manual sunroof? That’s what I did and I got a lot of conflicting advice, so be careful. I wound up having to do a lot of customization for what should have been a simple bolt on thing, because of getting parts that were close bit not quite right.
just to say that there seem to be a lot of variations of this so be careful. The experts here will surely be able to get you going. I’m super happy I did mine, as I love it being on a switch and I open it every time I drive.

I've totally pulled down an electric system and reinstalled - and it worked!

Gotta lot of great advice from everyone,special shout out to Bavbob for your help!
One last question, got the new cable installed and everything buttoned up but when closing the top,it closes nicely except the back of it doesn’t rise all the way up flush with the roof line. Is there an adjustment that can raise it up the rest of the way?
