Sunroof switch plate

Anyone found an alternative to this piece ( Part 51 41 1 822 904) that holds the sunroof switch in the headliner header? Mine's bent beyond repair and I need to attach the switch to the header so I can reinstall it in the car. It's NLA and I'm not so good at fabricating things like this.

These are found in e12 door cards and hold window switches as well. Harry, it is a simple metal frame.
