About 6 weeks ago, I started searching for a wiring diagram for the late e9 cars, as none of the books/manuals that I had contained one. I asked if anyone on this forum had one with no positive response. Thus, I assume no one has the diagram. Finally, a couple of weeks ago I stumbled across a BMW wiring diagram for the 'sliding roof on the early cars'. It is probably for the first era of the 5 or 6 series cars, but is quite accurate for my car (May '74 build).
It has two notable errors - it shows the power connection to fuse #12, while on my '74 it is connected at #10 (no 11 or 12, of course). On one of my 'late model e9' wiring diagrams, I did find one a 'sunroof connection' designation at fuse #10, but nothing else about the wiring diagram. The other error is in the Legend or 'key' for wire colors at the bottom. It designates YW for yellow, but the diagram has YE for yellow. There may be a third error, as it shows a 3 pin connector for the power wire between the fuse and the switch that I did not find in my car.
I tried to attach the diagram here, but the jpg copy is too large to be accepted (and this techno-peasant couldn't condense it). So - if you want/need this diagram, please start a 'conversation' PM with me, providing your direct e-mail. I will respond with the diagram which about fills an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet on the printer so it is easily readable.
