Sometimes the answer is right there....and maybe not.

The factory engineered ventilation in to the car as documented in the owners manuals. Non sunroof cars have a vent above the rear glass that extends to the rear pillars. Not so good for hermeticaly sealed cabins with retro or installed factory a/c systems. Sunroof cars do not have this feature.

York compressors- three types of Models- 210, 209, 207 in decreasing cubic performance. Only way to tell is by the shape of the end of the shaft with the clutch off. The 210 has a sharp edge. 209 has a groove, and the 207 has a bevel. I hope we all have the sharp edged best one after all these years. Off roader MacGivers use the darn thing as an air compressor to run air tools out in the boon docks!

Sandens- have a safety valve on the end of the compressor. If your low side is appreciably higher than normal; it may have just closed the refrigeration circuit all by itself; nothing wrong with the compressor; just replace the valve.
