Surfs Up

I will be in Santa Barbara inventory on the CSi, as per would it be worth driving up the rest of the way to watch the guys get washed up on shore (the lucky ones that don't get vital limbs bitten off by the Great White or Bull sharks up there?) I will most certainly bring my white
Coupe e24 so you guys up north can see how they are done up right...

Would like to see and watch... not to put too fine a point on it but where should/could I stay on Friday Barry?

Cheers!

I would recommend you stay at the Fess Parker resort, but don't eat there. Go celebrate your purchase with a mixed grill at Cafe Buenos Aires (around State and Victoria). Do send pictures of you in your E9 and dancing tangos at said Cafe.

Do you need any help with that new E9?

I might if I don't 'trade' it for Bob's car...which has been rust remediated very well and yet has no AC or sunroof and was Baikal
originally...then again mine was Fjord which is worse IMHO...(No disrespect to all you blue Coupe owners!)

Will let you know as it's this weekend the 'acid' test...anybody an expert on the euro (non-bmw) air conditioning...?
I have been told now by 2 experts that parts for that system are un-gettable and it's wise to keep it in the car intact...
if the engine can talk with it? (ie no idle compensation control valve of D-jet repute)

I have always wanted to attend a contest at Mavericks...if you haven't seen it on TV I can attest it's something to witness surely...
Bob designs custom Jet-ski drive parts in his garage and is a very interesting chap...
he even purports to have parts of the Russki Sputnik satellite in his safety deposit box
and is currently planning to display them at the SF 'Beat' museum.

Cheers and thanks for the offer Arde I hope you can help guide me thru this most inquisitive process?....
Thanks to God the rains have finally ceased!

Fess up Parker as in Daniel Boone?

Loved that show!

PS I was thinking more like closer to 1/2 moon bay...
Also encouraged that Obama has agreed to meeting with the Dalai Lama, which should fix everything amiss?

Regards!

Yessir, I heard this weekend was HUGE!

I hope you didn't get swept away while spectating or were you out there showing all the kids how it's done...

Cowabunga brah!

;-)

t's a spot where one surfer found many years ago,had it all to himself for many rides..
Sure we say that now but losing a leg to sharks is no picnic either so he's paid for his pleasure!

Howzit brahs? (they bite very hard?) or when one surfs alone at Mavericks, no one can hear you scream?

lol!

Thanks Barry for heads-up!
