Tacky radio install with pics

Been working on my 72 CS and have finally decided after 13 years to nicely install the radio.
Previous owner installed 2 brackets on either side by screwing into side panels.

Isn't there a company Pacific something? where we can get consoles that will hold this radio?
Years ago I had bought a console, leather covered for about $110 for my 72tii.

How would you guys deal with this?

Tacky radio install

Thanks, it is Parker Performance, I knew it started with a P.

They only have one with 3 cutouts for 3 gauges, hate to buy it and then have to cut it.

I just need to hold the radio.
 
A few who are handy with wood tools have made our own surrounds for gages, radios, and so on.

If you're not one such, a conversation with a cabinet shop or woodworker guys in your area might be useful. You may find a woodworker who is just as proud of his skills with wood as you are of the car - that would be the best outcome.
 
I once owned a Euro 75 non-AC car. It had a very nice sheet metal mounting for the radio. It appeared to be as close to factory as possible. As I recall, it was black with the same finish as the rest of the metal above it. It should be fairly easy for a sheet metal guy to fabricate. Then, paint it with an appropriate finish?!? I removed this entire console and swapped it with a guy in Canada for a complete AC setup minus the clunky York compressor. He didn't need AC and I did.
