Taiga CSL BatMobile At Auction next Friday

There is going to be a 1975 Taiga CSL Batmobile at the Bonhams and Butterfield auction at "The Quail" next Friday.The car was on display yesterday at Laguna Seca for the Pre Historics or HMSA races.Looked to be all there and pretty nice shape.It had the wrong wheels and some other stuff was not right.Estmated to go between $180,00 to $220,000

It is going off at the Bonham's auction which is inside the Quail lodge event on Friday.

Tickets to Quail are sold out but I think you should be able to buy tickets for the Bonhams auction separately. Won't be cheap but nothing is this week in the Monterey area.

I am planning on previewing it on Thursday and watching the auction live.

I went back on Sunday and took some more photos.I had the guy open the hood.Pretty nice car.I think he said it was going to go about 2 or 3 in the afternoon

I have to question the Batmobile designation though. I have seen all the movies and Batman would never drive a green car. Yes, it matches Robin's uniform, but I don't believe Robin is old enough to drive.

I have to agree. Clearly not a real Batmobile given that color. They're crazy to think they will get that kind of money for what I believe is actually a Green Hornet model. Let's roll, Kato!

I believe it went for$130,000 plus auction fees.Bonhams web site says $150,000.It was pretty nice but had the wrong wheel's,cracked dash,wrong material on pillars and some other stuff wrong with it.
