Tail light ground

Sometimes the driving light goes dim , when I push it inward the light goes bright.

Any good fixes?

a fix depends on what the problem is.. :)

Perhaps it has to do with one of the 2 little rivets on the side making bad contacts. You could try and squash them a bit, to seat them again tight. Is the other side accesible to position a small anvil? if so then compress them with a hamer.
Possibly it could also be the ground to vehicle which is located in the middle of the floor, just next to the wheel/tank divider. they tend to rust and get bad. remove the screw, inspect the sheet metal and reinstall.
I wouldn't think that by pushing on the outside, you could move any one of the internal components that connects to the bulb itself, but that might just be the case.

let us know what fixed it if you manage to trace it.
