Has anyone successfully removed and replaced the plastic tail light lenses from the chrome/metal trim? They seem to be molded in place. Sadly, I'm thinking the only option for replacing a cracked lens is a new EUR 255 part from W&N.

I recall an earlier discussion on this topic, but have failed to locate it, so any advice is much appreciated.

Hi Tyler,

on the yellow car I removed the lenses- I used a pliers to crack off the lip of the lens that holds it into the chrome housing. I was then able to glue them back in - worked well.

Regards,

Rohan

I used a Dremel rotary tool to carefully grind off enough of the plastic to pop the lens out. I removed a good lens from a tail light with bad chrome to replace a cracked lens in a light with good trim.

I'm going to glue the lens back in with silicone sealer.
