Are there suppose to be two long posts and two short posts holding the lens housing to the car/bulb holder? Position of the longer ones with the knobs? Is the one that was recently sold in our parts section correct? It is unclear why the knobs exist if two other sites are held by nuts. Is not the point of the knobs for easy access for bulb changes.

Also can someone post wattages of the bulbs from lateral towards the middle of the car. RealOEM is not clear. Tx

Rob,
All 4 affix (atlest I do although the 2 shorter ones would do) the lens to the body and the 2 longer ones go thru the bulb holder and are held with the two white curl nuts. And yes, only those curl nuts need removal to access the bulb holders. Affixing the lense to the body insures the lens doesn’t fall of when the bulb holder is removed.
@Stevehose has figured out the ideal wattage and bulb quality for the entire car so I’d ask him for advise. He was very kind to send me the complete updated set for the car except the headlights.

Understood. The E24's have 2 curl nuts only that hold the lens to the bulb housing, the attachment of the chrome bezel is totally separate. Guess I was modeling the E9 after the E24.
