Does anyone have photos of the US version taillights and the Euro version taillights?

Is there a difference?

Gary

Gary,

i'm not aware of any difference in e9 taillights ... as i recall the part numbers in the orange parts book are the same for all models. the only exception is that some early e9's had red turn signal lenses (like the 2000cs) ... either hold overs from the parts bin during original build or replacements.

No difference US or euro

...except we had overhere orange reverse lights in France, Italy and Sweden (if I remember the ETK) (Left)

And other countries, white (right)....

....oooooh poor memory !!!

Moreover this particularity was linked with mandatory yellow front lights (as white were forbidden at that time ) + ugly three branch steering wheel...

Welcome...

...and as Rsporsche said, early E9 US 2800 CS/CSA had red turn light lenses.

D-jetronic - FWIW, according to the license plate from one of the cars on the yard, it seems the picture has been taken in Croatia :)

I'll have to ask !

The picture was not taken in croatia, more over you know license plates have changed in France for a few years now.
The pix is in the yard of a friend of mine, who opened a few month ago, a BMW oldtimer werkshop.(Near Lille -north of France).
