Annabelle arrive one year ago, so this seems like a good time to take stock of the work I've been doing. As I had mentioned previously, folks will notice numerous electrical issues high up on the list due to the damage engendered by a half-assed installation of a fancy stereo.

So far, I have not had to farm out any of this, although Peter Coomaraswarmy helped with the strut brace, hood adjustments and doors, and I acquired some slave labor to assist with the transmission swap.

Chris,

Incredible list of accomplishments. I'm very impressed, and you must be very pleased (and maybe exhausted) at both the list and the time frame.

Yes, of course. This remains in the early stages right now; the oxygen sensor for the air/fuel gauge, along with the oil pressure and oil temperature sensors are installed, so everything under the hood is done and the wiring is through the firewall (the wiring for the fourth voltage gauge can tap into the fuse block). I am currently modifying the air fuel gauge to accommodate a VDO vision series black ring to make the four gauges look similar, and then its on to the panel, which will be drawn from your design.

i am so excited, can't wait ! :cool::lol:

Have any pictures?

Of course, but I am not as tech savy as others here and, for the most, my projects are either crummy little remediation projects like replacing melted light sockets or broken/corroded parts or alternatively well documented projects like the Getrag 5 speed conversion or the front suspension refresh.

Here's my baby as she sits:

I won't be able to run the Weds with those tires; they rub against my from strut. They look so cool, however that I had to put them on for pictures.

I like Weds wheels a lot, they look like those uber rare Alpina's. Are those 16" ?

Nope. The uber rare 15s. I think 15s are perfect for our cars.

I was influenced by pictures somebody posted here of a set of 15" Alpina knock offs that looked really cool. :)

actually they are real alpinas ... and they belong to stevehose ... who was admiring your weds

Actually they are repro's from OZ, they look real, made in italy in the early 80's. But the caps are real :)

I haven't seen another set come up for sale in a couple years since i got them from a member here.

Alpina never made 15's for our cars in this style (are the ex-Cary Iida CSL wheels that are WED-ish 15?) but these are next best thing, too bad because 15's are are great look and have good tire selection.

How about a close up of a WED?

Sweet. Now I remember you got them from Shanon. Here is what they remind me of, silver on top of spokes, black or silver inside, Alpina caps and lug nuts. Killer.

Yup. I just picked up a set of Alpina lugs nuts.

The two wheel pic was a comparison between the Weds center and a BMW center. I think I will go with the BMW center.

Chris,

I also think the BMW center looks better on those wheels.

Love the two (or three) piece ones that Steve posted, especially the first one. Never a big fan of the 'larger rim with smaller spider' design/appearance of the 2nd one.
