Tank vent hose

I need to source the vent hose from the filler neck that exits through the boot floor (Euro model)

BMW part (16114780100) is pricey and there must be generic identical hose available for pennies

Any help appreciated - thanks

As fuel hose is 8mm I believe the vent hose is 6mm. You can measure with a caliper.

US coupes have the same cloth covered rubber hose as the 8mm fuel hose. You can measure the nipple on the filler neck to ensure the correct size. It connects to the metal vent tube under the bumper. Or do you need the metal pipe? Sorry I didn’t look up part number first.

I believe it's 8mm coming off the filler neck nipple (for about 2 inches) then into the smaller diamter pipe that vents through a rubber grommet in the boot / trunk floor, behind the rear light. Is this pipe metal or plastic ?

On my NK sedan it is metal which I believe is correct for all euro BMWs.

Can not be flexible - must be rigid.

My 73 Euro has that plastic funnel pictured on RealOEM.

Is blocking the nipple and buying a vented cap an option? IDK, just thinking.

Most people use the plastic tubing that went to the charcoal canister.

Ours cars are almost identically and that pipe failed on mine a few years back. I just changed it for another piece of pipe, so far so good. I don’t remember where it failed but I do remember it was a larger pipe then changed to a smaller diameter pipe, like you described.
