hi,

It is now on display, a friend has sent me a collection of pics that I would like to share with you

But first let me give you a "premiere", ...in the BMW stand it was a particular object that attracts the attention of "coupe connoisseurs" more than cars or girls (I wonder If there were girls), a nice well proportioned object dressed in light grey, a very much desired piece for the beautiful "she" that waits in every "forum-er" garage,...the trunk tool box !

this is a prototype of the soon to come reproduction series that BMW will set available on May 2012

fresh up-to-date plastics and same retro finish including chromed handle

<<hush-hush talk saying that the price is believed to be between 250 and 280 eur>>

isn´t it a beauty ?

Great stuff! Thanks for sharing! As for the new tool box, best news of 2012, put me in for one.

What could be better - perfect vintage german cars and a swap meet under one roof! That Ferrari boat is too cool.

DQ: I'm very envious. That is the best classic car show on earth. I went there on 2010. Acres and acres of classics, parts, literature and automobilia. You need the full two days to see it and three is not out of the question. The dates didn't work for me this year or last year but planning on it for 2013. Maybe we can have an E9 Coupe Forum delegation attend.

We can fly into Munich (usually a "cheap" route from the US), visit the Welt and the museum on Saturday, hit the autobahn Sunday and experience its 'unlimited' sections on the drive to Essen. You haven't lived until you've done a legal 150... The relatively recent Porsche museum is also along the route.

Who's in? ;)

deQuincy thanks for sharring.
I did this show in 2009 and will be doing it again in 2013. Unbelievable collection of cars and parts. Take 7-10 days, tour Germany run the autoban do the Nurenburg Ring. Take in the Sinsheim Musuem plus those of Porsche, BMW and Merceses. Do factory tours of said marques This is a guys only trip. Take the little lady any plcace else, buy her a ring a car or a house but leave her ar home. Remember "we are here for a good time not a long time"
Go For It

Awesome, I would have photographed the same things. Bimmers, Bugattis, that's an awesome 57c, a T-35-51 GP racer is on my short list of cars to own. Bentleys, the leather bodied car is stunning. Some Ferraris and Mercedes, got a kick out of the lights on the SL.

Thanks for posting, made me grin like a kid in a candy store.
